Dave Fenley Sings His Way In to The Top 11

Dave Fenley made coach Blake Shelton look like a genius. A week after the talented artist was saved by Shelton from going home, Fenley was voted through to the top 11 by America.

After the live playoffs last week Fenley need to be saved by Shelton. According to the Country Music superstar he saved Fenley because he felt as though he had the best shot at winning. After the live Playoffs, the first live show of the season teams were cut in half. As a result Fenley has had the opportunity to work more closely with his coach.

“Up till now he has had so many people to work with. [It’s been awesome to be able t work one on one with Blake],” said Fenley.

During the top 13 show Fenley sang “Hard to Love” by Lee Brice. This past week was dedication week and Fenley chose to dedicate his performance to his wife. The performance not only impressed all the coaches but it impressed Brice as well.

Brice tweeted “Did y’all catch @daveFenley perform #HardToLove on #TheVioice last night? There’s a rumor goin’ around he’s gonna win the whole dang completion!! Great performance last night buddy.”

From day one the fans have been behind Fenley. From Facebook, to Instagram, to Twitter Fenley spends hour responding to the fans' messages, tweets, and posts. For Fenley the support means everything and he is truly thankful.

“It’s amazing!!! I’m 40 years old. Facebook, Instagram, and twitter are new me. I’ll spend hours and hours saying thank you to all of the fans,” said Fenley.

On the outside looking in The Voice is pretty straight forward. An artist fights his or her way to the live rounds so viewers can take their fate into their own hands and vote. But what viewers don’t get to see is what happens behind the scenes. The bounds the artists form, and the life long friendships they create.

“[What surprised me the most was] the family aspect. When you watch the show and you see the person win they never look happy and I understand that now. I was happy to move forward but I was crushed at the same time because we all became such great friends,” said Dave.

According to Fenley in order for him to continue on The Voice he has to bring it each and every week. The talented artist has become a favorite on the show, but knows one slip up and he can be going home. Each week Fenley is going to tray and do something new.

“I think I need to do things that America has never seen before,” said Fenley.

The voting methods have change on The Voice. Gone are the days iTunes downloads would count for votes it’s now Apple Music streams. To see a complete list of voting methods visits The Voice’s website.
